OVERVIEW

Annexation is the legal process of bringing property into a district such as BVID. The Yuba County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) oversees the process after BVID submits an application.
 

BVID’s first step in this annexation was sending a mailing in 2023 to prospective annexation properties.  The mailing included a letter, frequently asked questions, and questionnaire about interest in the annexation.  Due to the positive response, the District decided to move forward with the annexation. We are now approaching the final steps and hope the annexation will be completed by the end of the year.
